A Statewide Network of Queer and Allied Campus Organizations

Latest

Hello, and welcome!

Welcome to the Michigan Campus Alliance website. The Michigan Campus Alliance envisions a united campus network inclusive of all people, enabling one another against oppression, invisibility and privilege.

To reach this vision, we recently did some group structural changes, and these changes will be evident in our meetings.

While we work through this transition, you will slowly see this website develop into a respectable resource for your campus. Things you will see in the future: a database of contact information for the Michigan campus groups that support and work for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied students, staff, alumni, and faculty; a list of the events these groups are hosting through out the state, divided by region; and a list of other resources that are available to campus communities.

To create these resources, we need your help. In our meetings we discuss what each campus in attendance is working on and discuss resources we have among our selves, meaning we only connect with campuses that attend our meetings. To ensure that you have access to everything we can offer you, make sure your campus is represented at our meetings.

For more information on meetings, and how you can get connected, please feel free to contact Miranda, our facilitator, by using our contact form.

Statement on Proposal 8

The Michigan Campus Alliance hopes that this will be the last time LGBT rights are taken away. We hope that our community will be respected. We hope that all people will work together to empower the voices of those who are under served and underrepresented on diverse issues of sexuality, gender, and sexual identities. We envision a united nation inclusive of all people, enabling one another against oppression, invisibility and privilege.
